Chester Cheshire

A Literary Icon

The Cheshire Cat is thought to have entered the vernacular around 1850. He was popularized by Lewis Carroll in his book, ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND in 1865.

Curious by nature and a great debater, when the Cheshire Cat tires of discussion, his growing lack of interest is accompanied by his growing lack of visibility, fading away until all that remains is his enigmatic smile.

Over The Years

The Cheshire Cat has had starring roles in several “Alice” projects including feature films, books, television and video games.

He even has been used by the fields of medicine, biology and quantum physics to describe disparate theories. It is rumored the Cheshire Cat will be headlining his own Disney+ series in the future.

A Curious View

Cats, by nature, are curious, and so is A CURIOUS VIEW. Examining the world through a questioning eye, A CURIOUS VIEW is proud to use its own version of the Cheshire Cat as its mascot.

Our version is a British shorthaired tabby with blue eyes named “Chester Cheshire.”
